DIRECTIONS TO CLAY SPACE 1205 ONCE YOU REACH THE BUILDING

When you arrive at the 1205 entrance, come up the staircase to the front door.  Scroll the keypad until you reach “CLAY SPACE”, then press the green telephone sign. This will dial our studio phone, and we will pick up and buzz you through the front door. We will then give you further instructions to come to the Clay Space 1205 space. You will walk through a set of double doors, and go to the stairwell door on the right side at the end of the hallway, across from the mailboxes. Once through this door, come to the 4th floor of Building 2. Through this door straight down the hallway to the first door on your left. This is Clay Space 1205.

DIRECTIONS BY #7 SUBWAY

* Take #7 Train to Vernon / Jackson (if you are coming from Manhattan, this is the first stop in Queens after Grand Central).

* Coming from Manhattan- exit at the front of the train (from Queens exit at the rear),

go through a turnstile, take the left stairs past the turnstile and you will come out onto

Jackson Avenue facing the Citicorp tower.

* Go one block on Jackson towards Citicorp and take a right onto the Pulaski Bridge

pedestrian walkway, a most amazing view of Manhattan!

* Walk over the bridge, crossing over the vehicle entrance to the Midtown Tunnel and

the Newtown Creek. If you look to your right at about 2 o’clock you’ll see a large

brick building with a tall smoke stack. That’s where you are going.

* After crossing the Creek (but while you are still on the bridge) on your right you’ll

see stairs leading down from the bridge.

* Take the stairs down to street level, to Ash Street (Ash runs under the bridge and

perpendicular to it).

* At the bottom of the stairs, take a left on Ash.

* Walk one block and you’ll come to Manhattan Avenue (go right) — the GMDC building is the

large brick structure in front of you. Come to the 1205 entrance and go up the staircase.

* Total walking time: 10-15 minutes.

DIRECTIONS BY G TRAIN

* (n.b. From Manhattan the L Train connects with the G Train at the Lorimer/Metropolitan Ave. stop.)

* Take G Train to Greenpoint Avenue.  Stop and walk north along Manhattan Avenue, toward the waterfront to GMDC building at end of the Avenue.  Come to the 1205 entrance and go up the staircase.

* Total walking time: 5-10 minutes.
